2009 tourism awards named

STEPHEN Kasperbauer of the Alupang Beach Club is the recipient of the Guam Visitors Bureau’s 2009 Golden Latte Award, which is conferred to an individual who has shown commitment and dedication to Guam’s tourism industry.

The Alupang Beach Club is best known for its bright pink busses that carry tourists to and from the beachside facility in Tamuning.

Kasperbauer was one of the several awardees who were recognized by GVB during the 2009 Excellence in Tourism Awards ceremony held Friday at the Hotel Nikko Guam.

The awards are bestowed annually to companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Guam’s tourism industry.

The awards recognized promotional campaigns to entice new visitors to Guam.
