Bicycle Casino to Host the America's Poker Classic From April 1 to April 18, 2010

02/04/2010 11:45

Bell Gardens, Calif. (PRNewswire/WorldTourismNews.eu) - The Bicycle Casino's popular April series consists of 20 events and boasts over $800,000 in guarantees. Coming off the heels of the very successful March tournament, Winnin' o' the Green, the annual America's Poker Classic aspires to further satisfy the desires of the Bicycle Casino's patrons.

After twenty-one days of tournaments that included as many as four events running in a single day, the Bicycle Casino tournament staff was tested to their limits during the yearly March series. However, the floor personnel proved to be up to the challenge and were instrumental in making Winnin' o' the Green the success that it was. Significant benefits that the players will appreciate are the favorable tournament modifications made for the Bicycle Casino's annual April series.

The America's Poker Classic opens on April 1st with a No-Limit Hold'em $50,000 Guarantee, immediately followed by the No-Limit Hold'em $150,000 Guarantee, multiple day re-buy tournament beginning on April 2nd and finishing on April 4th. It is especially important to note the earlier start times for the America's Poker Classic. Many poker players vocalized their desire for earlier tournament start times and for earlier finishes to accommodate their busy lifestyles. The Bicycle Casino puts emphasis on customer satisfaction, which is evident in April tournament schedule by the earlier 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. start times.

In addition to big guarantees, the America's Poker Classic changes it up with several mixed game events including two H.O.R.S.E. events, Stud Hi/Lo, Omaha Hi/Lo, and Pot Limit Omaha, E.O. In addition, the Bicycle Casino recognizes the diversity of its clientele by offering Chinese Poker on April 4th and Mexican Poker on April 6th, both of which have been growing in popularity in recent years. As further proof that the Bicycle Casino listens to what its customers want, the two H.O.R.S.E. events will be based on an 8-handed blind schedule rather than a timed structure.

Midway through the series, L.A. Lakers Owner, Dr. Jerry Buss, will be hosting the Smile Train Charity Event. The charity event begins at 3:00 p.m. on April 10th, 2010 with a buffet lunch, followed at 5:00 p.m. with the Smile Train No-Limit Hold'em Charity Poker Tournament. The $275.00 tournament buy-in includes a $250.00 donation (100% of which goes to the Smile Train organization) and a $25.00 registration fee. Participants will be eligible to receive Lakers memorabilia and prizes with estimated at over $25,000 in value.

The America's Poker Classic will continue with the April 11th - 13th No-Limit Hold'em $100,000 Guarantee and conclude with the Championship $250,000 Guarantee on April 16th -18th. Concurrent with the Championship finals on April 18th, the final event of the series will be a No-Limit Hold'em $25-bounty tournament.

Poker, blackjack, and other table games are offered year-round at the Bicycle Casino, which is located at 7301 Eastern Avenue, Bell Gardens, CA 90201, just off the 710 freeway and only minutes from the LAX and downtown Los Angeles areas.
