Carlson Hotels Worldwide Adds 33 New Properties in the Second Quarter of 2009

Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced that it has added 33 new hotels and resorts to its worldwide portfolio of brands in the second quarter of 2009. The new properties span 13 countries, including 13 Radisson and Radisson Blu properties; 15 Country Inns & Suites By Carlson(sm) properties; and five Park Inn(R) locations.

 

The company also announced that it signed franchise or management agreements for 20 new hotels during the same period, adding future locations in the United States, Brazil, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Morocco, Mozambique, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and India. At the end of the second quarter, the Carlson Hotels Worldwide portfolio totaled 1,032 hotels with more than 153,500 rooms in 73 countries. Carlson hotel brands also include Regent(R) Hotels & Resorts and Park Plaza(R) Hotels & Resorts.
