China issues warning for Chinese tourists in Munich

13/07/2009 12:48

China's National Tourism Administration Saturday urged Chinese tourists to exercise caution when visiting Munich.

Chinese tourists currently in or traveling to Munich should be on guard for safety reasons, warned the administration, saying that a Chinese group of tourists were attacked by East Turkestan Islamic Movement activists on July 7.

No casualties have been reported at this time, but China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed the German government of the accident and urged it to take effective measures to protect the life and property of Chinese citizens inside the country.
