Congrex opens an office on Potsdamer Platz, Berlin

Congrex, one of the world’s largest Meetings and Events organisations opens an office on Potsdamer Platz, Berlin. Congrex has, since the start in 1982, handled more than 5 million meetings participants at some 3.500 events in over 40 countries, at some 150 locations worldwide. In 2008 the Congrex Group achieved a gross turnover of approx. 120 million euros.

The Group delivers events worldwide, irrespective of destination, size or number of participants - no event is too small and none too large. Congrex services encompass all aspects of advice, planning, organisation and practical execution. One of the largest events, the “International AIDS Conference”, which Congrex has repeatedly handled, attracts some 20.000 delegates. The company is also active in the “Corporate and Governmental Meetings Markets” where the company has delivered events for corporations such as Novartis, Shell, Ford and Hewlett Packard and for organisations such the World Bank and the European Space Agency.

Dr Layth Bunni, Congrex Group Chief Executive, is convinced: “Berlin is one of the destinations of the Future”. The Group currently employs over 380 meetings experts operating from 28 offices in the Nordic Countries, Central Europe, Great Britain and Latin-America, where experienced project teams with language skills and local knowledge are available for Congrex clients.
