Expedia owns and operates more than 60 online travel booking sites worldwide, including Expedia and hotels.com sites in the US, UK, Germany, and throughout Western Europe; as well as in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, and many others in the Asia-Pacific region. The company has more travel shoppers visiting its sites every month than any other travel company. Its global traveler data and partner insights enable Expedia to offer hoteliers the combined benefits of global reach, local market knowledge and targeted marketing opportunities.
“Expedia is a global company that takes a local approach to its relationships with hotel partners,” said Diego Lofeudo, Director of Market Management for the EMAF region, Expedia Partner Services Group. “We work closely with our partners in established markets such as Athens, Crete and Rhodes as well as developing and broadening our offer in Peloponnese, Santorini, Mykonos, Cyclades and Ionian Islands just to name a few.”
Expedia recently launched JoinExpedia, now available in 39 languages, where hoteliers can quickly and easily apply to sell their product on Expedia sites globally. Hundreds of hotels that have joined the Expedia marketplace in recent months are selling rooms online for the first time ever. In addition, Expedia is working with The GNTO in an online marketing campaign that promotes Greek destinations to travelers on Expedia sites throughout Europe and beyond.
