Jamaica Hotels Cater to Family Business This Summer

Many Jamaica hotels are offering family specials. Sunset Resorts is welcoming families for an all-inclusive vacation at savings of up to 35 percent for the entire family. The new Play in Paradise sale is available at the recently renovated Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, Montego Bay, and the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa, Ocho Rios.


Iberostar Resorts is currently offering the Kids Stay Free promotion. Available for travel now through December 2009, this promotion represents a $70-$100 savings per night, per child (maximum of two children) at its Iberostar Rose Hall Resort and Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort, both family-friendly all-inclusive properties. Travel must be booked by June 30.


Beaches Resorts has created Get Togethers and Family Reunions for groups who book a minimum three-night stay in five rooms or more, year-round. Families who book this package will have their very own family reunion concierge.


Starfish Trelawny is offering its Single Parent promotion, which waives single supplements for single parents looking to vacation with their children. Starfish Trelawny is also offering its Kids Stay, Play & Eat Free promotion where children two-to-13-years old can stay free, a savings of $100 daily for a family of four. Both offers are valid for travel May 1-Dec. 22.

Rondel Village is currently taking 20 percent off Superior Room rates now through July 8, with a minimum booking of three nights. There is no charge for one or two children sharing a room with two adults.


FDR Resorts gives families a bonus when booking a minimum of five nights now through Dec. 17. Families who book a seven night stay will receive $500 discount per full paying adult, and families booking a five or six night stay will receive a $350 discount per full paying adult.


Half Moon is currently offering the Family Time promotion, which includes daily nanny service for up to two children four-years-old and younger (three hours daily for three nights) sharing a room with two adults (one nanny per family). Meals are included for a maximum of two children up to 12-years-old when sharing room with two adults.


The Ritz Carlton Golf & Spa Resort offers the Escape to Luxury package to families looking for a bit of pampering. This summer, as an added value, the package includes complimentary accommodations and dining for children under 12-years old when accompanied by an adult.


Round Hill Hotel and Villas offers exceptional savings for large families seeking a little more room and seclusion. Round Hill’s private villas are available at a 50 percent discount when a seven night minimum stay is booked.


Jamaica Inn offers parents a relaxing vacation getaway while the kids have their own fun at Camp Good Hope, located near Falmouth, Jamaica. While at the sleepover camp, children can swim, ride horses, hike, practice yoga, bike ride, creative pottery, act in dramas, dance and more.


For families traveling to Jamaica by private yacht, seeking a full day or night away from the sea, Royal Plantation Island has created the Drop Anchor & Spend the Night at Royal Plantation Island at Fowl Cay package. Guests may choose from a one-, two- or three-bedroom private villa and enjoy fully catered breakfast, lunch and dinner. Villa rates start at $995 per night.
