Thomas Cook scoops two online awards

Thomas Cook has won two awards for its online services at the inaugural E-consultancy Innovation Awards.

A panel of judges from companies including Google, Apple and Orange praised Thomascook.com’s email marketing and online conversion services.

It beat Argos and Haven Holidays for the email marketing award and Carphone Warehouse for the online conversion award.

Russell Gould, director of e-commerce at Cook UK and Ireland, said: “For the past 12 months, we have been developing a new e-commerce platform and these awards are testament that we are progressing in the right direction, given it has only just launched recently.”

Ashley Friedlein, chief executive of E-consultancy, added: “When it comes to e-commerce, the travel industry is one of the most sophisticated sectors and Cook is clearly setting the benchmark when it comes to innovation and a joined-up user experience across different channels.”
