The City of Savannah is blazing a trail of new technology for tourism.

Today, the Savannah Area Convention and Visitors Bureau unveiled the new "Tourist Assistant portals," known as TAP. The touch screen kiosks will be placed around Savannah starting July 1st, and with one touch of the screen, a visitor will be directed to wherever they want to go.

CVB president Joe Marinelli says Savannah is the first to use TAP technology.

"There are no other cities doing this as advanced from a technology standpoint and anytime we can blend Savannah's great tourism product with todays technology, I think it is a great step for us," Marinelli told WTOC.
