Tourism group honors best of tourism promos

The Tourism Association of New Mexico recognized the state’s best tourism efforts of 2008 recently at the annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

 

The Tourism Industry Association Recognition Awards, or TIARA Awards, highlight excellence and creative accomplishment in travel marketing and promotion.

 

The Farmington Convention and Visitors Bureau, which hosted the TANM conference, took home the award for best brochure. The village of Chama won an honorable mention for its visitors guide.

 

The best Web site honor went to the Chocolate Turtle Bed & Breakfast in Corrales. Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino received honorable mention.
